Today, the product we are going to introduce is our Load Isolating Switch
The load isolating switch is a low-voltage electrical device in power systems that combines load current breaking capability and circuit isolation function. Compared with traditional isolating switches, it has an additional capability to break the normal operating load current (a function that traditional isolating switches lack).

How to Use a Load Isolating Switch

The use of a load isolating switch must strictly adhere to its functional positioning of “load-breaking/current-making + circuit isolation”. Prior to operation, the following three core inspections must be conducted:

1. Visual and Insulation Inspection

  • Check that the switch housing (typically made of SMC composite material or ceramics) is free of cracks, damage, and that the transparent observation window (if equipped) is clean and unobstructed, allowing clear visibility of the internal contact status.

2. Status Indication and Locking Inspection

  • Verify that the switch’s “ON/OFF” status indicator (or indicator light) is consistent with its actual position (contacts are closed when “ON” is indicated, and separated when “OFF” is indicated).

3. Load and Circuit Inspection

  • Clarify the type of load controlled (e.g., motor, lighting circuit, distribution box) and confirm the load is in a normal operating state (no short circuits or severe overloads; an ammeter can be used to check if the current is within the rated range).
