1.What Is Digital Panel Meter?

Digital Panel Meters are the modern solution for precise electricity measurement and intelligent energy management.

Unlike traditional mechanical meters that are prone to wear and reading errors, digital meters utilize advanced analog-to-digital (A/D) conversion technology.

They accurately convert grid voltage and current signals into digital data, which is then processed by a built-in microprocessor to deliver high-precision energy consumption statistics.

With a clear digital display that eliminates reading errors, these meters fully replace older mechanical models.

They are widely suitable for residential, industrial, and commercial applications—providing reliable data support for electricity management and energy efficiency analysis.

2.How To Check Current Reading In Digital Electric Meter

To check your electricity usage on a digital meter, locate the LCD screen, which typically cycles through various data displays automatically.

Look for the numerical value followed by “kWh” (kilowatt-hours)—this indicates your total accumulated electricity consumption.

When noting the reading, record the digits from left to right. You may omit decimal points, red digits, or any numbers following a decimal, unless specified otherwise by your meter’s design.

3.What Are The Different Types Of Digital Meters?

Digital meters can be classified in several ways:

  • By circuit type:
Three-phase meters (for three-phase power systems)
Single-phase meters (for single-phase lighting circuits)

  • By function:
    Ammeters (current measurement)
    Voltmeters (voltage measurement)
    Energy meters (electrical energy measurement)
    Multifunction meters (integrated parameter monitoring)

  • By display type:
LCD digital meters (intuitive visual display)
LED digital meters (clear, high-visibility readings)
