1.What Is A Digital Voltage Panel Meter ?

It accurately measures the voltage between two points in a circuit, displays the data clearly, and quickly identifies overvoltage and undervoltage anomalies, preventing equipment damage from the source.
It’s an essential instrument for power distribution maintenance and equipment repair!
2.How Does a Digital Voltage Panel Meter Work
The core component of a digital voltmeter is the analog-to-digital (A/D) converter chip, which enables high-precision measurement.
When in use, it is connected in parallel to the circuit. Internal voltage dividers or attenuators reduce the measured high voltage to a range that the A/D module can handle.
Then, the conditioned analog voltage signal is fed into the A/D chip, which converts the continuously varying voltage signal into a digital signal that a computer can understand.
Finally, the digital signal is transmitted to the built-in microprocessor for calculation and processing, and the result is directly displayed on an LCD or digital display screen. Some models can also automatically switch ranges and save measurement data.
3.How to Choose A Digital Voltage Panel Meter?
Measuring voltage with a voltmeter requires remembering four key steps: choosing the correct type, selecting the appropriate range, connecting the wires correctly, and reading the measurement properly.
First, determine whether the circuit is DC or AC, and select the corresponding DC or AC voltmeter.
Then, estimate the magnitude of the voltage to be measured and select a slightly larger range to avoid damaging the meter.
Ensure the connections are correct. If a permanently installed voltmeter is not used for a long time, remember to disconnect the power and calibrate it regularly to ensure accuracy.
Two points require special attention: firstly, never connect a voltmeter in series with the circuit; its internal resistance is too high, which will almost break the circuit and may damage the instrument;
secondly, when measuring kilovolt-level high voltage, you must use a dedicated high-voltage probe and insulated tools, and take precautions to avoid electric shock;
for precision measurements, the voltmeter must be calibrated regularly according to metrological standards.
